The philosophy of the Menteatral festival is to create an outgoing festival as well as to present the production of drama ensembles that integrate mentally disabled people. The festival is organized by a ‚Jiné jeviště‘ association, established in 2011. The ninth edition of the festival will take place in the Neratov village in Orlické hory, from Thursday, July 27, till Sunday, July 30.
Besides the main theatre program you can also look forward to an outdoor cinema, public debates and workshops. This years‘ festival explores the freshest work of Czech professional drama ensembles that integrate mentally disabled people. Moreover, public debates and workshops are meant to provide an opportunity to discuss current trends, progress and experiments within the Specific drama.
